I'm in need of a new drivers seat for my 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 2dr 3.8L with 233k, would I be able to swap out seats with the passengers side or will I have to get another driver's side seat?

My Prix is getting close to 1/4 of a MILLION miles.  The drivers side seat is on its way out & I'm wondering what would be the cheaper fix, swap out the drivers side seat with the passengers side seat or just buy another non-leather non-power seat & take out the existing power seat on the drivers side or would it be better I just find another power seat?  I'm guessing the power seat used will be more expensive than a non-power seat.

Thats alotta miles!!! Well the driver and passenger seats are not interchangable. I would look in your local auto salvage yard, craigslist or ebay for a complete seat.

car-part.com is the largest network of automotive salvagers...to save on shipping cost, the site will let you narrow down the search to driveable distances for you...there are phone numbers for each savager so you can speak to a real person about the particular item there....have purchased many parts from this source~

someone i know locally will replace the cushion in my seat for $80 i think that will be a more reasonable fix than replacing the whole seat. b & j auto trim elk mound, wi 715-664-8635 also you can store a car truck motorcycle boat or rv in his storage place for about $30+/mo i've been there on/off since 2000.
