My gas gauge wasn't reading correctly, so I replaced the fuel level sensor and now the garage is off by about 1/4 of a tank. Is this a a faulty sensor or something else?

I believe there is a way to calibrate the gauge, try looking on you tube.

Before I replaced the sensor it would glitch out and the gauge would go past empty

So the from what I understand from various sites is that it is having the right resistance. It there a know place where the problems occur

ive got an issue with my car. i have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. on Thursday I preformed an engine degrease and sense then my fans won't run, my car uses more gas then it should (and by that i mean when i tap my gas peddel i go up to 3000 RPM and slowly drop back down), and my engine temperature gauge only goes up. it used to bounce around Ive narrowed that last one down to the Thermostats. despite whats going on if i unplug my engine temperature sensor it the fans and the gas work normal again. Ive already replaced the sensor so im up for any suggestions. 2 Answers
