Check the engine oil first. If it is low, add oil before starting the engine again. If it is a deep knocking that knocks faster when the engine is revved, you may have a bad engine bearing. Listen under the car (bottom of the engine), it will be louder under the car. If that is the case, unfortunately you will need a major engine repair (possibly a new engine.)

If there is something bad enough to cause an engine knock, there must be a check engine light. Scan the computer for codes either way. you may have to take it to an experienced mechanic and have them listen to it.

Gary it dosent sound like its comming from the bottom sounds like its comming from the front top an it does get louder as the rpms go up

Is the noise more of a tapping or ticking? Noise from the top of the engine is usually the valve train, caused by not enough oil to the top of the engine or worn rockers or bad lifters. Either way, sounds like an oil issue.
