1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT difficult to break

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is anyone familiar with the brake systems on
Grand Prix's? I just bought this car and am afraid
to drive it because I have to push the break pedal
all the way down to the floor to stop, and the
breaks only start engaging when the pedal is
pressed to a very low point, and they engage in a
week manner.
My ABS light is on, as well as two other lights next
to it... red with an exclamation point.
I am hoping someone might be able to know
what's going on.

I'm afraid you're not going to like your answer. A complete brake system inspection will be required. If you're lucky it will only require bleeding the brakes.
