Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 99 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.8L. And the car
has a white smoke/steam coming from the engine
behind the exhaust manifold. I know its spraying
onto the exhaust. It starts as soon as I turn the car
on. The temperature gauge reads normal. I don't
know where to start looking for the leak.

First off do not drive the car until it is fixed. Next you should be able to see where it is wet. Probably a heater hose or a bypass hose. Just have to look.

pressurize the coolant jacket with the pressure tester and watch where is it spraying from~!

It's not of the hoses and I have been looking for the spray for three days. I have been told its a possible head gasket, cracked head, or a freeze plug.

most auto parts stores will send a guy out with the tester and see where your leak is~ pumpin' it up to 17 PSI and lordy how your leak will show itself~ that way if you're only using it once save your money... use NAPA or whoever will help you with your leak~
