Low Fuel warning incorrectly displayed

Asked by Guru9Z1JL1 Dec 09, 2020 at 05:53 PM about the 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix 4 Dr GTP Supercharged Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP 3.8l supercharged. Although my fuel
guage is accurate, I am getting a low fuel warning at a half a tank on my
display. What up with that?

It sounds like either your gauge or fuel level sensor is lying o yo and needs to be calibrated. Not a driveway job unless you know what you are doing. My gauge has read high since new and I have just learned to live with it but I don't have a low fuel warning alarm to deal with.
