Why would my Grand prix chug while in reverse?

Asked by Cuttlebear Nov 28, 2016 at 03:39 PM about the 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix 4 Dr GT Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1998 grand Prix when starting up and
idling my car likes to idle high. Plus in park or
reverse my car will sputter or chug, and on drivers
side under hood I can hear a loud blower noise. I
don't kno much about my car. But describing on
what my car does, problem is its not always acting
up.  Some days my car will run fine. Anyone got
any ideas?
