I bought a new remote for my 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix. I programmed it But the alarms won't Sound or the lights won't blink. Is there anyway of fixing that. . . . help

Definitely sounds like whoever programmed your keyless remote didn't do a thorough job. Was this done at a GM Service Shop or elsewhere....take it back and get 'em to fix it.
