Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 97 Grand Prix and she ran perfect
absolutely perfect and then one day she
started knocking/rattling. There's no
smoking, no warning lights, good oil
pressure and all. Could it have jumped time
or is there a sensor that would make it so

Is the rattling or knocking in the engine if so you have a bad engine and it's best to not drive it anymore because eventually it'll blow up if it's in the ac unit or sounds to be near there you may have a rodent inside you ac

To me it's a rattle but some say it's a knock I call it clacking. It wasn't smoking, using oil or water, run like a dream and in a split second started that. Could it be a sensor or something simple I'm overlooking?
