there should be a tag on the transaxle side that faces towards the driver's side axle/wheel. However there could be accumulation of dirt that may make it difficult to read. Assuming the motor is a 3.1L V6 (would say 3.1L Multi Port FI on the intake plenium) Getrag designed the transaxle and was manufactured by Muncie. I think your model number is a Muncie 282 or the Muncie Getrag 282, could also be referred as HM-282. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Getrag_282_transmission

It will either be a 282 Getrag if you have a 3.1L or if you're lucky enough to have a 3.4L (LQ-1) it would be a 284 Getrag. Go to W-body.com they have ALL the info on your car there
