Engine Flooding

My grand am engine has started flooding with gas if it runs more than 30 minutes. Sometimes it turns completely off. I have to squirt gas out from a small pipe like line under the hood. I've had my tank clean, new air filter, and Im not sure what else could need to be replaced.

The only way the engine could be flooding is if the fuel injectors are leaking. That pipe you are talking about I believe is the fuel rail. Gas would squirt out of it pressing on that access valve. That valve is where you would check the fuel pressure. So you should check or have it checked by doing a fuel bleed down test. Hooking up a fuel pressure gauge to the Schrader Valve it's called, turn the key on, let it build up fuel pressure, turn the key off. Watch the gauge, fuel pressure should not drop more than 5 lbs. in a short period of time.

so after you purge gas from the schrader valve it will start ? Sounds like a bad fuel pressure regulator , where ever that may be .
There is suppose to be pressure at the Schrader valve. Like 30 to 44 lbs. of pressure. A fuel regulator does not cause flooding.
