My daughter bought this used car, need work and had two codes in the computer. I replaced the impact bar every component of the e-brake system, pads, rotors, rockers, purge vent solenoid, canister vent solenoid.

If the check engine light is on there has to be a code. The brakes have nothing to do with the check engine light. You have to get it scanned to find out what they are. Autozone does it for free.
