How to start my car with the secruity light flashing in a grandam?

It should take ten minutes. When the light comes on steady, turn the key to off. Wait a second and turn it back to on. Wait another second so the fuel pump pressurizes the fuel rail. Start the car normally and I keep my foot hovering over the gas pedal because my car stumbles and needs a little gas to stay running after a Security light incident.
