Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am SE. It makes very loud cracking/skeatching noises when I drive over big bumps & especially when I turn. I think it's coming from the steering wheel column. Anyon ehave any ides as to what the problem might be or how I can fix it? Thanks!

It sounds like it could be the upper strut mounting plate. Check in at GAOwnersClub.com for info about lubricating them.
