was the condition of your coolant green or like turkey gravy....I'm thinkin' that maybe someone panic refilled with hose water and corroded the aluminum heads and played hell with the coolant passages~ bring it to a place that can do a coolant "flush" and put the proper 50/50 ethylene glycol and water mix in that~

we must find out where the coolant is leaking from....with any luck it's not white smoke out the tailpipe...sorry the PM would not let me post a pic...but here's one example...they ain't that cheap...but can be re-used on any car~

did you put the thermostat in properly? I have seen many people put them in backwards and they won't open if you do that.

Did you properly burp/belch all the air out of the system after you installed the pump and thermostat? With air left in the system it will not circulate properly.
