Where is the thermostat on my 98 grand am, v6? And how do I replace it

I don't know anything about your car, but the thermostaat is typically located inside a cast metal housing on the top front of your block with a hose leading directly to your radiator inlet. If you replace the thermostat inside the housing, be sure to install a new gasket as well.
