I need to know what other year models ignition
switches are interchangeable with a 92 Grand am

A salvage yard may sell only the whole steering column and not separate the switch , But there are G.M. " sister " cars from those years that would fit , you may save a fair amount of money if you go to a lock smith rather than the dealer for a new one . I think the job is fairly easy and the " key chip " didn't come out till 95 and that makes it even easier ..

The ignition switch is Standard part number US259. You can get it from Rockauto.com or your local auto parts store. Hope that helps! Jim
