i have a 93 oldsmoible cuttless supreme 4 door sedan 3.1 i had stoped hard bacause of a car short stoped in fornt of me after that my car wouldent go over 20 miles an hour and started to over rev and low rev and it felt like it was dieing but kept going then shut of but the battery is newi i was able to bring it home so what iam asking could it be plugs or fuel filter or hoses or electical problem or maybe altinater because no service engine light came on at all either i need sumones opinion

I don't know why a hard stop would cause it, but I had a 91 chevy lumina 3.1 and it acted the same way. It ended up being the injectors. they can be tested by a pro. good luck.

You may have dislodged some gunk in the fuel system that has made it to your carb or injectors. It could have come from the fuel line between the filter and your engine and now it is playing games with you. As the last guy said, have your fuel delivery system checked out by somebody that knows what they are doing.
