Starting Problem/2003 Mitubishi Eclipse Spyder GS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car has been running good.  Shut it off last night and went to start it this
morning - it would not turning over at all (no sound: no clicking).  I checked the
battery by putting a charger on it - it seemed a little low, so I charged it to be
safe and also removed and cleaned the terminals - still nothing.  What could
possible problems be?  (Starter - fuse ?)

Parasitic drain? YouTube it and see if this is your issue? Is your battery healthy? If it cannot hold a load then it will not start car even though it might give you a 12V reading with car off. While trying to start car, hold a voltmeter to battery terminals and see how low the voltage goes. If it goes below 10V, replace battery. Keep your eyes on the readings because this voltage happens quick.

memory may have been lost when you disconnected the batt. they make a memory saver for these wonderful newer cars that make our lives sooooo much better , your starter may be bad also or a relay , after you make sure the batt. is good and get it to turn over
