why my mitsubishi spyder 2001 turn 3 times before start ?

Hi my name is alex and i have a mitsubishi spyder 2001 GS 2.1 manual 5 speed, the
problem is when i start the engine turn 3 times before start, i think is the starer but im not
sure please, any advice, any help? will be welcome. thank you!

Is it spinning over normally or spinning real slow? If slow check battery voltage and cable connections. Also check the negative connections on the frame and motor. These cars are real funny about their negative(ground) connections. They will do all sorts of weird stuff if they are loose or dirty.
