Transmission

Asked by martin09 Dec 13, 2009 at 11:05 PM about the 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder 2 Dr GS Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey guys, i just bought a 99 spyder gs. The only problem is that the transmission slips before roughly shifting, especially from 1-2, and 2-3. I think this only happens when it's cold, but just in case should I take any precautions or just simply change the atf?

Yep, yep.. my car started doing this too.. Its taken months to narrow down the issue. This is the only problem this car has ever given me. Hope you got it figured out quicker than I did!! ;)
