engine problems

Asked by chazzx11 Mar 04, 2010 at 08:38 PM about the 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder 2 Dr GS-T Turbo Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car starts up ruff. When it finally starts idiling right after 5-10 minutes of it running, you go to
drive it and floor it, then it will start sputtering real bad then a short burst of white smoke will come
out the tail and it will backfire. It drives good and doesnt smoke while driving it but when you go to
floor it thats what it will do. No one can figure it out. I have took it to many places and no one knows
anything. Its been doing that for over 3 years. Please if you can help email me at
chazzx11@yahoo.com . Thx in advance!!!!!!
