Water pump

Asked by Kaylan1723 Sep 10, 2019 at 12:50 AM about the 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis GS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Would it be ok to put a used water pump on my car
or does it have to be brand new one? in 2 weeks I
can afford a brand new one but until then can I use
a old one from pull-a-part??

A new one is always better. If you get a used one, the gasket might be worn out and it won't be much better than what you have now.
