It could be the LCM (lighting control module) There was a recall on these, Sometimes Ford pays. There are people who rebuild these on ebay and other places. I had to do mine. Others on here know more about it.

Look at the answer by RatPuppy on a 2003 LCM question. Ford may cover it.
I also wanted to know, could it be that the wiper blade switch gone bad?
