Humming sound coming from engine

There is a humming sound coming from my engine when I
put the car in drive, I have to rev the engine to make the
sound stop. What part do I have to replace. Also there is oil
leaking from my alternator on to the belt. Should I replace
alternator.  Thanks

Theres no oil in a alternator, its coming from somewhere else on the engine.
