both passenger and driver floor board wet

both the driver and passenger side floor board have wet spot the size of a dvd, there is no other wet spots but in the floor board. My car is a 2001 executive series lincoln. What could be the problem, I've had my windshield and heater core checked, no problem, also had the drainage cooler system area drained.

Have you checked the drain plugs,under carpet,sound,s like may be fell out,water would splash from under car,that would all so explain the round spot,as the cap are round all so.
