Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Neither rear door in my 1997 A6 Quattro Wagon will unlatch or open (with the doors unlocked) using the inside door levers.  Passengers can only open the doors and exit using the outside door latchs. Is this likley a mechanixal problwm with the inside latches, or an electrical problem?  Should I try and fix it myself?

Are you sure the child locks aren't engaged? There is a little silver switch inside the door to stop kids from opening the door. Check to see if that is engaged or jammed.

Should have mentioned that yes, i did think of that possibility. As far as I can tell the child locks are not set and I'm not certain how I'd tell if they were jammed. Thanks for the effort though!
