My 97 lincoln towncar is getting spark and gas is pumping thru the line but it won't start. It turns over but won't crank.

check to see if check engine light goes out when you are cranking it,it should go out when cranking if not your looking at a possble pcm relay crank sensor problem,scan for codes let us know,hope this helps

if lite goes out when cranking means the pcm is receiving rpm signal and should be firing injectors,try spraying starting fluid in throttle body to see if starts up

Ok. I tried that and it cranks but immediately shuts off and all the lights go off while cranking
