Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1994 Lincoln Town Car has been having this
problem where I'll be driving and it will just start
bogging down going really slow then will just come
out of it and drive fine. It's gotten tally worse since I
went and got a new battery and oil change and I'm
sure the cold hasn't helped. Need 2 fix but I'm not
exactly sure what it could be thought it might be
the fuel pump or auto zone said crankshaft
position censor because it backfires to forgot to
mention. It's getting worse anyone have any ideas
what it could be? Thought I might need a tune up
but now I'm thinking that isn't it. I'm not great with
knowledge of cars I won't lie lol any help much
appreciated thanks!!

I would suspect that the catalytic converter may be plugged up. How long has it been since the last tune up?
