drivin along n it will just quit then 5 min. laterstart up n drive fine,,help

92 lin.t/c.sig.sometimes as i drive along it will just quit n 5 min later it starts n drives great...please help

There are a lot of concerns here what may cause this to happen....if you could be so kind as to go to your auto parts store, where they will hook up the diagnostic plug and hopefully print out what they find...in an effort to sell you the parts you may need, such as a throttle position sensor, or an egr or maf sensors would tell us that...we need to know what the printout says....thanks~

It might be that a component is failing when it heats up. Try opening the hood when it fails to see if it takes less time to recover. You can also try some starting fluid when it quits to see if the engine lacks spark or fuel.
