shimmy under there with a squirt bottle of soapy water and squirt all connections---the hoses principally, but rubber gets old and cracky...will sniff out a repalcement hoses and air springs for you----sus it out with a spray bottle of soapy water so we can pinpoint what to replace...okay?~

tennishoes is right its not cheap to fix usually. most people convert it over to coil spring set up and not have to worry about it any more. Being a 96 you will be patching it up alot and a used one of the same age may not be the best bet it will give problems also.

I have a 1996 mark viii with a check engine light that won't go off! I had the ecu checked at a lincoln dealer and it said I had a problem with code #720. That is the output sensor on the transmission which is not making a complete circuit. I had the ecu replaced( flashed) installed but the check eng. light is still on? The input and output sensors have been replaced along with both oxygen sensors. What else can I do to get this fixed? 3 Answers
