Question type: General

I have a 98 A8 audi quattro. I started my car and it started to shake a bit. When I started
to drive, it wont go past 30mph without shaking.  Anyone have an idea as to what may be
the problem?

I suspect the drive axles...the CV joints are worn and goin' out of balance...if you felt courageous you could shimmy under there armed with a dull phillips screwdriver and poke at the boots to find the leakin' poisonous grease~ https://www.google.com/#q=1998+Audi+A8+Quattro+drive+axles

I'm thinking its not that because it feels like its in the engine. When I press on the accelerator the car struggles to go faster, then it starts to shake.

from what i understand its a code problem, and the dealer can resolve. sometimes i would shut off and restart and the problem would dissapear until the dealer (Ray Catena Audi of Freehold, NJ) resolved. Sean C.
