How do I know if my 2006 jeep cherokee larado is a 4x4 or 2wd?

Question type: General

It has a v6 3.7 there is no manual
theres no place to put it in 4wd but it
says 4x4 on the back tail gate area
above or below the larado.

The control knob should be on the center console just in front of arm rest to the drivers right. There is no shift lever, as it is all electronic.

I would look under vehicle at the front wheels. Is there axles going to them? If so it's a 4x4. If not then it's just rear wheel drive. Some one could have changed out gate due to original one being damaged. Just a thought. I will see if I can get you an online manual.
