Jeep starting problem

Asked by Lauren_ratcliffe Sep 20, 2018 at 12:29 PM about the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My jeep won't start up straight away, it's had a new
starter motor and a new battery and still it
struggles, it turns over but doesn't seem to get the
petrol through, if that makes sense? It's a 05 grand
Cherokee 4.7 V8 running on petrol and LPG

I would first scan for fault codes. But if your fuel filter is more than 50,000 miles old, get it replaced or at least have the fuel pressure tested. Should be 50-60 psi at the fuel rail. There's a fitting to hook up to. Not sure about LPG.
