My door controls only work when closed. Why?

Asked by ljsoulek Dec 02, 2017 at 08:18 PM about the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can unlock doors, roll windows up and down, and adjust both mirrors, but
only when the driver's door is closed. The other doors all work fine. What is
going on?

It's a feature that prevents you from accidentally locking the truck with the keys in it. Perfectly normal.
