Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My wife's jeep has developed two problems at about the same time. I wondered if they are related? First the passenger's side electrical has gone out - No window, seat ,door locks  - and the key fob won't lock the jeep now - - Next , the heat on the passenger's side doesn't work either , blower works,no heat on that side ONLY ANY IDEAS?????

It could be related. Check your fuses to see if any are blown. It could be one of those maxi fuses since there are a couple large loads that stopped at the same time. Has there been any work recently that could have damaged a wire and caused a short to ground?

No recent work - I thought I checked them but i guess the MAXI fuses are more internal and I can't visually see if they are bad.. Thanks

This video shows how to get the codes from your heating system, assuming you've got the same automatic dual zone setup. I've heard similar problems being related to broken blend doors. It's actually an ad for the guys who make the replacement aluminum blend doors, but the problem diagnosis is spot on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIWnuZ8vkEE
