I have an audi and the battery keep going dead on it so we had it checked and bought a new one now when we start it it will start but it won't stay running it runs a few seconds then dies then restart

Hey marykay you probably have a parasitic draw somewhere and it draining your battery, aventualy it will happen to a new batery is well.

Talyanich could be right. a parasitic draw will drain your battery overnight. But that will not cause it to not run after started.. No need to do the starting-fluid test, it starts..... it is fuel starvation. If it will run long enough to get any OBDII codes, whether the Check Engine Light is lit or not, that will help point you in the general direction of what to check. You can buy a scanner if you so desire

It could be the anti-theft immobilizer. There is a small red LED light that flashes when car is off and locked. If that little light continues to flash when you insert key, or even if you have the 'smart key' proximity key for push-button start, or remote start, if that little red LED continues to blink it's the immobilizer
