Question type: Maintenance & Repair

when i turn there is a rubbing like noise. I have been told it's coming from around my transfer case. I purchased the jeep new and it only has 32k on it. has never been off road. Would replacing transfer case fluid help anything? or what else should i have looked at.

I've heard of others having this same issue. Inspect under the vehicle and pay attention to the drive lines. Look for wear marks, shiny areas, etc. What others have found is a cable rubbing against the drive line.

Check some simple things first, like make sure your tires aren't rubbing against anything (inner fender, molding, etc.) you may have hit something while driving that nudged it too close to the tires when they're turned.
