I lost my key to my jeep...i have no spare. I bought an
aftermarket ignition lock cylinder. If I replace the old one
can I start the car??

Won't work, this will set the anti theft off. You will need to have the car programmed to the new keys, no matter if you keep the existing lock cylinder or replace it with a new one. Save yourself some money and return the new lock cylinder, then get new keys cut and programmed for the existing lock cylinder.
