I have a tapping under the hood at first it sounded
like low oil but my husband and my dad said it
wasn't low on oil. The tapping continues and you
can hear it more when you put on the gas. Nobody
knows what it is so that's why I'm here. Any ideas?
The noise could be many different things and almost impossible to diagnose over the internet. I would take the vehicle to a trusted mechanic for an evaluation. I would do this ASAP as you risk serious damage to the engine if the noise is not addressed.
Like Bob said. Find a good tech, just because it's full of oil doesn't mean the oil pump or something else isn't going bad.
