can I use 265/70/17 tires on my jeep without having to use a lift kit

if you do make sure you take a picture before so you will be able to remember what it looked like to have fenders. i have 265/70/17's on mine and with a 3" lift i still get into the fenders once i leave the pavement and when in reverse while turning even on pavement.
