have oilin my overflow coolant is this something that needs fixed asap or will be OK for awhile it doesn't overheat?

Never good to have oil in overflow bottle. Needs to be looked at asap. Life of your motor depends on it .

but wait ,..how much ..some on top floating aroud???...if you flush that out(the over flow bottle) and add new anti freeze.. check it again in a few days...i would not be surprised if its cleared up..

Likely it is a head gasket problem and it won't get better. Have it looked at and pressure test the cooling system.
