what can be the causes for bad speedo other than speed sensor?

Asked by clsims Jan 26, 2013 at 04:20 PM about the 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

CEL gives code for speed sensor. swaped out w/ new one. checked wires on connector to see if they are live.  speedo works when braking but goes to zero when accelerator is engaged.  thanks for your help.
