i have replaced the radiator two times brand new from auto zone? new cap, thermostat. still cracks on
the right hand side looking at it. Temp reads a little over 240.

240 is rather hot, 210 is a more acceptable range. Over 240 is overheating and you will have more problems than your radiator soon. Maybe your water pump isnt circulating coolant anymore or there is a blockage.

just had that problem on a 2000 cherokee, problem turned out to be a head gasket causing pressure to build in the water system, had it fixed, now no problem,
