Starting problems with 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Replaced the battery/alternator, and cleaned the throttle body, which was gunked up. Now it tries to start, but keeps dying. Mechanic thinks it's because I frequently switch off the battery power, and that confuses the pcm as to how to deal with fuel injection when I turn it back on. His only suggestion is to use fuel additive to protect the throttle body, and accept that I have this ongoing problem. That the pcm isn't designed to understand battery disconnect. Any thoughts??
