Emergency Flashers come on when I start up the car. Yesterday the car wouldn't start (it was clicking) so I had to jump it. It was minus14 degrees C. Whats happening?

Your diagnosis was dead-on, thank you. I called CAA to purchase a new battery; the came and told me they don’t sell batteries for Audis. ( A waste!) So I had them jump-start it, then called them to complain so they deleted the service call (you’re allowed three free calls per year with membership and $45.00 per call after that. So I took it to the shop and replaced the battery without deleting any computer settings! Now I know that when the emergency flashers start flashing after starting up the car, the battery is going. Thanks for your help !!!

Hey I had the same exact thing happen to me after I unhooked my battery Then about every 5,10,15 minutes that went by my flashers would just start flashing finally someone told me because battery was disconnected I needed to reset car. SIMPLE, OPEN drivers door put key in door lock turn key to left and back to center stop for 1 second then turn key to right and stop. Let it stay in the right position and shut door, wait 1 hour and go out open drivers door turn key back to center and pull out you're done. When you go back out after an hour you should notice the little red LED light there on the top of the driver's door on inside should be flashing red that's telling you that system has been reset . I did that 2 months ago I never had the problem again so maybe you can try it and you'll have some up to
