my battery was acting like it was not charging and each time i started the engine it would struggle more and more until it wont do anything now. replaced the battery and cant even get it to turn over.

You have an old battery/and a new battery/and you have a battery drain on both.go on line ask the question what causes a battery drain on a car.should be good reading
