My 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo starts but won't stay on and after a trying to crank it a few times I smell gas and it sounds like it's turning over and everything, just not getting any gas.

If you smell gas,than you are probably getting it,check fuel lines for leaks around the intake,
