I have a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe. Last night the battery lite kept flickering, and eventually stayed on. I have done quite a bit of work on this vehicle in the last few yrs. 3 yrs. ago replaced battery. 2 yrs ago - fuel pump last year the alternator.last week we tested the battery and it was fine, We replaced the negative terminal end which was cracked. What can it be this time? out of ideas.

You can also check your alternator by checking the battery voltage with a volt meter while the engine is stopped....then crank the engine ..measure the voltage again ...it the alternator is working the voltage of the second measurement should be 2 to 3 volts higher that the voltage of the first measurement..
