Could I take my cylinder heads out of my 93 Del Sol and get it shaved down to get better compression, or should I buy performance heads?

In the long run, you'll be better off with a performance head. Then you'll need performance injectors, ignition and cam. It can get pricier.

Unless you are ready to buy a high-po engine and line the engine bay with chrome, like so many others have done, just leave the head stock and get different pistons for higher compression
